Angel's Pagent Smoked Meat Sale
Sherwood Firefighters Association-IAFF Local 4756 held the first smoked meat sale of the year on June 14th 2014 and we must say it was a success! We sold over 50 Boston butts, 30 whole chickens, and 10 pork tenderloins, with all proceeds going to the Angel's Pageant. The Angel's Pageant is a annual pagent celebrating the beautiful spirit of children with disabilities. This year's theme for the pageant was "You Are My Hero" and honored the fact that the children who participated truly are heroes. Superheros and real-life heroes stepped up to serve and left the event feeling very humbled and in awe of the unique spirit of each child. The meat sale was a successful thanks to the generosity of Dr. Richard Smith and members of the Scimitar Shrine who labored throughout the night to prepare and smoke the meat for the sale. B.J's Produce provided watermelons and Mr. Paff of Metropolitan Realty facilitated the use of the lot at North Hills and Wildwood Avenue. We would like to thank these individuals for their support and helping to make our first meat sale a success!
